Our Organization
CO-LIB STAFF ASSOCIATION is a 501(c)(4) social welfare organization based in Saint Louis, Missouri. We represent and support the staff members of Co-Lib Credit Union — employees who serve the financial needs of our local community every day.
CO-LIB is a staff association — an organization formed specifically to promote the welfare, professional development, and collective well-being of credit union employees. We focus on connection, collaboration, and growth for every staff member in our community.
Our History
The Internal Revenue Service granted CO-LIB STAFF ASSOCIATION unconditional tax-exempt status effective January 1, 2022, under Section 501(c)(4) of the Internal Revenue Code. Our determination letter was issued on January 5, 2023, confirming our classification as a civic league and local association of employees.
We operate from our mailing address at 1412 South Spoede Road, Saint Louis, MO 63131 — the same location as Co-Lib Credit Union's main office — serving staff members across the Saint Louis metropolitan area.
What Makes Us Different
As a staff association, our role is distinct and focused. We connect Co-Lib employees, foster professional collaboration, deliver member support services, and maintain full compliance with federal regulations — including annual Form 990-N filings with the IRS.
Our official seal — featuring a tree of knowledge growing from an open book, with community figures and gears — reflects our commitment to education, growth, and collective strength. Our motto, Connect · Collaborate · Grow, appears on that seal and guides our work every day.
